Pregnancy with School

Pregnancy and Finishing School: Can I Have Both?

So, you’re pregnant and in school? That’s a lot. Whether you’re trying to graduate high school or earn a degree, being pregnant in the midst of school is a lot to process! Panic may be setting in. You may already be thinking that there’s no way you can handle all of this – carrying a pregnancy, possibly being a mom, and graduating. If you look at statistics, they’re probably not encouraging. You may already be experiencing judgement from peers or discouragement from elders.

You already know that you your circumstances are difficult. There’s no way around that. But there may be a few things that you don’t know. At the Cline Center, we want you to know that you’re stronger than your circumstances, you’re not alone,  you have choices, and we can help.

You’re stronger than your circumstances:

If you want to, you can. You can do anything you set your mind to. It’s really that simple. Anyone that tells you that “you can’t” simply does not know what they are talking about. Your timeframe may look differently than others, but it’s okay to shift your perspective. You may need a lot of support, but it’s okay because that support exists.

You’re not alone:

Many Cline Center Clients have been able to carry a pregnancy, parent, and graduate, both from high school and college! We were there to walk alongside of them and we are here to walk alongside of you.

You have choices and we can help:

Each of your choices – parenting, adoption, and abortion – are difficult in their own way. At the Cline Center, we can offer you the support you need – from making a well-informed decision, to counseling and parenting classes, to community connections and resources – we’re here for you.

Remember, statistics don’t tell the whole story and you have nothing to be ashamed of!

You CAN have both. You’re going to be okay.
